Website Design for Symphony Orchestra

I’m the general manager of the DuPage Symphony Orchestra, a community orchestra. We present classical music concerts.

We wanted to redesign our website.

Flamingo Agency redid our website from scratch, moving our platform from Wix to WordPress, but keeping some of the original structure, photos, and verbiage. In addition, they worked with us on videos, color schemes and backgrounds.

We started the process by giving them a brief of what we had and wanted. After that, they came up with the final version of the site, which is the initial landing page and point of contact for any patron, newcomer, artist or educator. In terms of features, the site has a video of the orchestra performing, a fully integrated calendar, and a ticketing software system.

Moreover, they offered monthly website maintenance services for the site.

We found them through a Google search, and after reaching out to them and talking to Chris, we decided to go with them because they understood what we needed and were excited about the project.

Our site’s traffic increased by 37% — overall, their work exceeded my expectations.

Project management was excellent in terms of meeting deadlines and staying within budget. They were receptive, calm, and adaptive to our progress. In terms of tools and communication, we used Excel spreadsheets, phone calls, and email.

They had an accommodative approach — they agreed to all of our requirements and made them happen.

I didn’t think there was anything they could improve on. They were great, and we recommend people working with them.
